Baume & Mercier Riviera Launch at the Asian Civilisation Museum of Singapore on July 12th, 2007 Project : Proximity | Paradise in the Sun Russel envisioned this unconventional art work using six images, each an individual piece on its own, yet magically transformed when taken as a whole. The big picture evokes the simple, sensual look and feel of the Riviera with the sun, the sky, and the dramatic contours of a woman reflecting the French southern coastal mountain ranges. A fantasy of the Riviera, playful and intriguing, dreamlike and surreal.
